Wifi power saving mode

I need more detailed explanation on this mode !

WiFi power savings mode, will limit some background activities, ie: if you have Auto Update apps on WiFi.. if WiFi power savings is on, the apps won't update. 

A good WiFi connection, uses a lot less battery than Mobile Data.. so WiFi is already saving some battery life. 

I'm not sure how much battery life WiFi Power Saving mode will be saved, I imagine just a little bit.
