I recently bought the SmartTag plus but when I do the search nearby, it does not give me the 'Find using camera' option. I can only find it by playing music, if anyone has any clue why I cant use the AR finder please let me know.

my tag did a firmware update (1.2.11-11) yesterday and it seemed to have fixed the issues for me. Except it doesn't seem to do the little AR explosion showing were it is.

The only other issue now is when the tag is "lost" it shows the wrong "last seen" location as if smartthings thinks the tag is still connected to the phone.

I just saw an update my smart Tag needs to update firmware, how do I do this as I tried...

Hi Kevinlove96, The SmartTag+ is similar to the SmartTag, but it also offers augmented reality (AR) findings via Ultra-wideband technology. This feature uses your phone's camera to track the precise location of the SmartTag+ within 15 meters, making it useful if you lost an item at home or nearby. Once you've connected the SmartTag+ to the SmartThings app on your phone or tablet, open the app, and then tap the Life tab. Tap the SmartThings Find card. Make sure you've selected your SmartTag+, and then tap Search nearby. Wait a few seconds, and then tap Find using the camera.

Note: The Find using camera option may not appear if the signal is too weak. You may need to grant permission before opening the camera. Next, point your device around your current area. If the signal is strong enough, you may see arrows on the screen pointing you in the right direction as you approach the SmartTag+. Tap the music note icon to make the SmartTag+ ring, so it's easier to find. If you get close enough to the SmartTag+ and missing item, a popup message will appear, informing you that it's nearby.

I agree. It worked once, and pretty well, then it went downhill from there. during brief tests, it seems very buggy and inconsistent. When the button does appear it's bouncing around like it's on a vibrating bed and the arrows don't always appear.
