has anyone been experiencing something really annoying with your s9 lately? after an update two days ago. Mine just keeps restarting on its own

Did you turn on auto restart? If you did you can just turn it off in the device care.

mine isn't on an auto restart setting. It musg be something else.

Hey @lot2,  as you mentioned you have checked that auto-restart option is disabled & performed clear cache partition and it did not fix the issue. It could be due to third party application, Try Safe Mode and check if it fixes the issue. 

Note: If the issue is fixed in safe mode then third party apps are causing it.

If issue is not fixed in safe mode then try Factory Data Reset. Before performing Factory Data Reset backup your device using the Smart Switch. 

"The factory reset makes the device function again in a new form. It cleans the entire system of the device".

Hi lot2, you may need to think about factory reset. Use Samsung SmartSwitch to do a full backup first.
