Dex pad - Note 9 - One Ui 2.0 - not working

Hi, 

I have a Samsung Note 9 runing One Ui 2.0.

My dex pad STOPPED working after my phone installed one ui 2.0.

Does anyone have any solution? 

My phone just says that I'm not using a fast charger to charge when I plug into the dex pad. But I am!

It doesn't offer Samsung dex at all. 

Please offer suggestions.

So found this note in the dex pad documentation. I've been using 9v 1.67a charger Samsung provided all good. But now not working with One Ui 2. Tried a 9v 2a charger working a bit better but still not stable video cuts out every few minutes. Seems the 12v/2.1a charger is a must and I don't have one. I hope Samsung can fix this.

This may be due to the fact that after the update to 2.0 the note 9 no longer needs the pad to run dex. The only thing you need to run dex is a usb cable. I'm assuming the update made the pad unusable.

That was the case since Android 8.1... the S9 had to wait until Android 9 for that feature

Good guess. It's true that note 9 doesn't require dex pad just a converter. Galaxy s9 requires the dex pad. However so far it seems they purposefully or accidently broke comparability with the low end charger. It is upsetting as I don't have the charger they suggest 😕 they should have included it instead of the lower spec one.

The S9 supports using a simple USB-C to HDMI adapter for DeX since Android 9

True but I bought the dex pad for the USB ports. It is really lame that it stopped working
