Hey all
I have a note 20 ultra running One UI 3.1 however I do not have the option to set up call background. Does anyone else have this issue?

Well that's weird, you're definitely looking at the right place. On my end, I have the option and I also have a Note20U on OneUI 3.1. Please confirm what version of the Dialer you have? Please also wipe its cache. Just go to that screen where you were, scroll at the end to select About Phone, and the version will be displayed there. You may wipe the cache by tapping on the little (i) on the top right corner, select Storage and then Wipe Cache.

thanks for your suggestions. I just tried clearing the cache but no luck. My phone app version is 12.1.10

Try go to recovery mode and do a Wipe Cache Partition.

- Power off your phone
- Press and hold Volume Up and Power key until you are in recovery mode
- Use Volume up and down to navigate
- Select Wipe Cache Partition
- Click Power key for Ok
- Click Reboot System

Hi fabiandb,

Try to reboot the device and check. Sometimes a simple reboot will fix the issues.

Also, Perform a wipe cache partition of your phone as suggested by . Performing a wipe cache partition removes any temporary files that may be causing an issue with the device. All personal files and settings are not affected by this option.

This is my version as well. Very weird... Can you please share the contents of Settings/About/About Software?
But first please proceed with the general cache wiping process that Tallman gave you.

Did you finally try to make a wipe cache partition ?  We want to know if it solved the problem ...

I just tried a cache wipe but still no change. The option is still not there in the phone app

If this is the case, you may need to do a full backup from SmartSwitch and other backup, like Whatsapp, Signal...etc. Then factory reset your phone and reload your data back. This should bring back the call background option for you.
