Facebook app self updates without Play store

Facebook keeps updating itself. I have turned off any installations from unknown sources in settings but it updates itself without using play store. This is on my s8 running android 9.

It's not "unknown sources" that you need to turn off - It's the Setting in the Play Store 😉🐧

what shaggy says! and for your info the unknown sources means installing apks from "unknown sources" like apk mirror

You're also going to have to DISABLE COMPLETELY the Facebook App Installer app. This system app also updates automatically Facebook apps.

Go to Media and Contacts in your Facebook app Settings, then App Update. There's options in there.
