Are you experiencing the issue with a particular person? Please check if you are having the same issue with other persons.
Also, perform a Restart. A restart often clears up any software glitches that may disable the sound.

Galaxy SRemove anything plugged into the headphone jack, including selfie sticks, charms, etc and Disable Bluetooth by swiping down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings. Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn off Bluetooth.
Also, test the speakers under Samsung members as @makeanimationssmooth and @Tallman suggested.
