common... no one cares about bixby it's useless, awful, garbage... let us remap the button already! Clearly none one really likes it if you had to update it to completely stop it from working... so I think it's about time (along with the nowalmost year and a half old update 8.0) you guys make more money year by year then apple and Google combined... Samsung is so large of a company you CAN afford to listen to you customers... But the auto killing bots to the side... for people that don't know samsung is actually a huge company! woth a BP division a financial institution that deals with investments and other stuff like that... they also have a military division as well.

I agree. lol. I use Bixby everyday. she makes scheduling, reminders, and setting alarms a lot easier.

I agree that if you choose not to use Bixby, you should be able to repurpose the hardware. After all, you paid for the S8, not for Bixby. It isn't yet in my language and is not localized yet. Same goes for G Assistant. Long press the home button gives you that AI, but you can change what happens with home button long press in the settings.

hey @Emperor I am 99% sure in the last Bixby update just a few days ago I was seeing "what's new" I saw a small blurb for remapping the Bixby key. I will check on my other S8 as I haven't done the Bixby update and once I have an update will let you know!

I love Bixby and use it everyday. I am waiting for Bixby extend its ability to external, like Google and Siri.

First off, you should have stated there are some users that don't care for Bixby. Saying 'no one' groups a large majority of users which is not the case. You could have phrased it better. The way your post sounds and manner of speaking is rather an 'attack' on Bixby itself. It's also a rather biased view at that. Bixby has its quirks, but what assistant and/or AI isn't. They all have flaws.

I agree that users should have an option to remap the Bixby button. But to state Bixby is "useless, awful, garbage" is incorrect. As stated it has its quirks and (growing pains aside) is very great at stringing commands with a single voice prompt. It's not perfect, but nothing ever is.

Also YouTube is the worst place to base anything on as there are a lot of trolls there. That is not a place to form any conclusive data. I'm sure Samsung has an actual track number and users that do use Bixby. And I bet they have lots of aggregate data stating otherwise from what you are basing it merely from YouTube.

l have a S8+ and my gf has S9 and i wanted to give Bixby a try , but realized the bixby on my gf phone is better then mine . So i went back to Google assistant . Same features for all users .
