Hey,

I've got a Note 10 Lite, and after the latest update to One UI version 5.1, my video calls turned green, just the color green. It's a bit like the Hulk but not as fun.

WhatsApp and Messenger show my camera and others' cameras working, but they only see a green screen. 🟢

Oddly enough, when I use the camera app, everything's fine. I can take photos and record without a hitch.

Here's what I've tried so far:

  1. Wiping the cache partition.
  2. Cleaning up all app settings.
  3. Making sure all my apps are up to date.
  4. Made sure there's no video call effects on

Could you work your magic and help me exhibit my kids to their relatives? 🙏

Thanks a million!

Best,
Hugo

Seeing this as well on my wife's Note 10 Lite and as well, started since the last update.

As a very tedious workaround, I found that doing a screen sharing and opening the camera app works...

To everyone opening this thread

open FB messenger > click on three lines > click on gear > Report technical problem > write your issue and answer questions.
This is the only way for this issue to get fixed ASAP.

Whatsapp report problem just forward to nonsense Bot without real solution or report.

Temporary Solution:

Hi again, if you need to use whatsapp video calls urgently, for ex. I saw that someone needs to call his ill mother or family issues etc. You can use below method while we are waiting to official solution from meta or samsung

***I do not take any responsibility if you harm your device***

Basically i thought that if my official whatsapp's video call not working why i do not give a chance to thirt part whatsapp versions and i tried YOWhatsApp and it worked perfectly

Just uninstall whatsapp from your phone
Search, download and install yowhatsapp apk or another 3rd part whatsapp version from your internet browser

I do not have much info about app developer, so, you can try to do quick search for it or another whatsapp versions and try them while you wait new official version

Hope it helps

I too have ended up with this Green Broccoli screen. I called the  SAMSUNG'S helpline, the remote engineer logged onto my phone but couldn't find a fault. They have now advised to await another update soon.

So basically upgrade or live a green goofy man?

I really think that it's a Facebook /Meta problem. I know that it's reported at least a year & a half ago.

Any other Video Calling app works without any issues. Telegram, Zoom, Skype, Google Duo, Signal.. and both WhatsApp & Messenger are Facebook / Meta apps.

I've opened a ticket with WhatsApp and they responded with advice to update it. Probably it will be available soon

I have the exact same problem since some 4 days ago. Same device, in The Netherlands. I deleted whatsapp several times and re-installed it. Went to various phone shops and my internet provider but no one could help. It took me at least an entire day. As it happens more times with this device Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, they say it must be the phone. Does that mean that all of us with this device (mine is 3 years old) are obliged to buy a new phone? Not one problem with taking any photo's. The person on the other side of the video call gets the green screen while I see him/her well and alsom myself in the right corner below. There MUST be someone at Samsung that has the solutionW
