Note 8 Wifi Issues

I have noticed that the note 8 wifi reach is absolutely horrible. I have phones that are years older than the note 8 and connect to wifi from greater distances than the note 8. Every device in my house connects to wifi no problem except for my note 8. My s4 has better reach! Do i need to change phones? Or is there some software issue?

Did you try rebooting the router? I've got several devices & occasionally one of them will show that WiFi is on - but no Internet connection - Rebooting the Router and/or device in question solves it for me...
Also double check to see if the WiFi settings on your Note8 are the same as on your other devices that are connecting properly 🐧

rebooting the router does nothing. resetting note 8 settings does nothing. I have to be beside the router for the note 8 to work. if i leave the room it says there is no connection. The note 8 wifi reach is horrible.

I have Not8 as well. I do not have your issue. My router located in basement and my Note8 still have 3 signal bar when I am on 2nd floor. Maybe that is hardware issue.

Try switching to the 2.4ghz band if you want connectivity on longer distances but suffers from lower speeds and 5ghz for faster speeds at shorter distances

Yeah it's DEFINITELY not a known Note8 issue - It's either the Settings on your particular Note8 or it's a Hardware issue... I can get a WiFi signal from a ridiculous distance... and not just my Home WiFi - But I'll get notifications from other available WiFi Networks...

came across my first N8 issue. WiFi connecting and disconnecting randomly. web search wanted a full reset to 'correct' the issue. after more testing. it was determined that the battery save mode was the culprit. turn off bat save for WiFi and problem disappears. The question now is what app or module is causing the battery save mode from flaking out...
