with 3rd party apps yes, but as usual I would be careful due to privacy issues.

If someone ever recorded my call without my consent FIRST, you can be sure I would not be a happy camper.

its perfectly legal in Canada and you might want to check out "Automatic Call Recorder"...the pro version is cheap and I've been using without issues for years. Allows for automatic upload to cloud as well.

That's a lie! The other person needs to be told they are being recorded. If you were to use it for legal reason without telling them is useless.

@Vape- before chirping you should likely do some research. It is perfectly legal, and your right to record your personal conversations for whatever reason you desire to do so. You may not intercept and the personal conversation of others. You need to be a participant.

Regarding the legal use, I mentioned below that I'm not lawyer, but as the recording was legally obtained, I dont see why it could not be submitted as evidence.

Also, people dont always record for the purpose of the courts.

My recordings have helped me a couple of times in business. The most recent in which I had to put an underperforming employee on a performance plan. The employee didnt like the conversation and promptly escalated a concern to the HR Director and the CEO alleging in the conversation that I was racist, and even made up vulgar statements in quotations that I had said.

Even allegations unproven can be damaging/tarnishing at high levels. Needless to say that I presented the recording which was entirely on point and crushed the need for a more extensive investigation.

I did some research and you are right your aloud to record for personal reference. It just doesn't hold up in court unless it's someone with Authority doing it.

If you search "record conversation" in this forum, you can find some posts. Most of them says due to privacy law in Canada, you cannot record while phone call. Unless your phone has rooted.

I'm sure you can find whatever misinformation you are looking for on this site, and the internet. Doesnt really change the fact that users in Canada can record their calls, and there are apps available to serve as that vehicle. Automated Call Recorder is totally functional on the Note10

If you did'nt advetise the person then you are recording the conversation, you can't use it legally nowhere
