Android System Webview

I have the S21 Ultra 5G.  This app is weird.  I checked the date, it said last updated March 22, 2021.  It popped up in my Google Play Store updates again. I clicked on it to update, all it said was "pending" and a circle going around the icon.  I went into apps, settings, Android System Webview.  I am not able to uninstall it.  All I can do is "disable" or "force stop the app".  What does everyone recommend to solve this issue?

Should probably try disabling it for now. My webview was updated 7 hours ago and I'm able to Uninstall it on the playstore when I search for it. The only other thing I can think of is downloading an earlier version of Android System Webview from a place like Apk mirror which may not even work.

No need to disable/uninstall it now. This new update fixes the crashes. Keep it installed.

He said that app itself is not updating.

Probably an issue with Play store more than that app itself

Hi Jayman1973, try restart your phone and do the update again? Maybe simple restart help...

Thank You Tallman. I did a phone restart and the update showed that it updated 19 minutes ago. I will just keep an eye on it when it updates.

my webview shows as disabled, but can't click on anything to enable. Any ideas? play store doesn't show an update or uninstall button.
