My Galaxy s9 and tab lite s6 are paired but not recognizing each other. Why is that?

Unpair & Pair them again.

You allowed them to Pair (permission)?

In what way are you expecting the S9 and tab lite S6 to recognize each other besides being paired with bluetooth.

I have a S22 and Tab S7+ paired and there is nothing showing they are recognizing each other except for the call and text on other devices icon available in the pull down menu from the top of the screen on each of the devices.

I am not positive but I don't think the Tab lite S6 is capable of this

I wonder if they are actually thinking about using the S9 as a HotSpot for the Tablet? Because you're right, I don't see the point in Pairing the two devices?

If they are properly paired and communicating should I not be able to see the same sent message on either one? The reason that I use them both at the same time is because the tablet is easier to text on (larger keyboard for large, inaccurate 80-year-old fingers) while using the mobile capabilities of s9 to inform me of needed details for the messaging.....

I think that you need to use Samsung Flow to use both devices at the same time.

You can download Samsung Flow from the Play Store, or I would imagine the Galaxy Store.

I think that you'll be able to do what you want.

After the devices are paired with Bluetooth go to the pull down menu on both devices and touch to highlight call and text on other devices icon on both devices to get it to work. I don't think your tab S6 lite has this capability
If you don't see that icon in the list on both devices it isn't possible by this method but could be by doing as @RedDogRabbit has suggested

I think you also need to be signed into your Samsung Account on both devices
